Risk, hazard, and making sense of dose and response

How do you get from hazard to risk? If you want to put a number on the probability of something bad happening, dose-response comes in handy. This week’s Risk Bites is the first in a series that look at what dose response is, and how it helps go from the possibility of something causing harm, to estimating the probability of that harm occurring.
